Located south of Brisbane in the Gold Coast Hinterland, Springbrook National Park and Tamborine National Park are packed with scenic highlights. This Springbrook and Tamborine National Park Tour from Brisbane will show you the best of both these verdant rainforest wonderlands, and envelope you in their lush beauty. You’ll enjoy the services of a knowledgeable guide and travel in air-conditioned comfort. Get ready for an amazing day out!
Departing the Brisbane CBD, you’ll head south towards the Gold Coast, before heading inland to Springbrook National Park. The Springbrook plateau is a remnant of a volcano dating back 23 million years. Here you’ll enjoy a guided stroll through the rainforest, which is characterised by a closed canopy and a proliferation of large trees such as the strangler fig. The walk takes around 30 minutes and will lead you to the stunning Natural Bridge — a rock arch formed by thousands of years of rushing water.
From there, it’s on to glorious Mount Tamborine — a mountaintop community that’s home to small wineries, gourmet artisans, and arts and craft stores. You’ll visit fabulous Gallery Walk — a strip of eclectic galleries, boutiques, cafes, and eateries — and have time to purchase lunch (at your own expense).
Next, you’ll visit the Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard and Winery, which has a purpose-built glow-worm cave on site. The controlled environment provides perfect conditions for the glow-worms to thrive, and the constellation of tiny twinkling stars that coat the cave walls is a wonderful sight. Entry to the glow-worm cave is included in the cost of your tour.
Finally, you’ll have a chance to walk off any lunchtime indulgences in the heart of Tamborine National Park. Stroll through the verdant rainforest setting to Curtis Falls for a sublime photo opportunity.
This Springbrook and Tamborine National Park Tour from Brisbane ends with drop-off back in the city at approximately 6pm.
