Information we collect

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address and time zone. Cookies may be installed on your device to enhance your experience on the Site.

Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as ‘Device Information’. We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Additionally, when you make a booking or purchase through the Site, set up an account to track your bookings or purchases on the Site, or lodge an online enquiry about a tour or product on the Site, we collect certain information from you, which may include your name, email address, contact telephone number, postcode and home country, and the names of any additional passengers. We refer to this information as ‘Order Information’.

Additionally, when you opt in on the Site to receive our monthly email newsletter, we collect your name and email address. We refer to this information as ‘Marketing Information’.

When we refer to ‘Personal Information’ in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information, Order Information, and Marketing Information collectively.

When you make a booking or purchase on the Site, you will be required to provide your credit card number, expiry date or security number. We refer to this information as ‘Payment Information’. We do not collect or store your Payment Information. When you make a payment on the Site, you provide your Payment Information to Stripe — our nominated payment gateway. Stripe is a third-party provider of secure, encrypted payment services. When you make a booking or purchase on the Site, your payment is automatically processed by Stripe and we do not have access to your Payment Information. We have an affiliate agreement in place with Viator (a TripAdvisor company), and in some instances you may be automatically directed to their website to make your booking or purchase. In that instance, you will be required to provide your Payment Information directly to Viator and you should refer to their privacy policy for more details about what information they collect and how that information is stored. If you book with us over the telephone or in writing in a letter, email or online form, we will request your Payment Information so that your payment can be processed manually through Stripe. Once your payment has been processed, we will destroy your Payment Information immediately. It is not retained or stored by us in any form.

How do we use your Personal Information?

We use the Order Information that we collect from you to fulfil your booking or purchase on the Site. Additionally, we use your Order Information to communicate with you about your booking or purchase. We use your postcode and home country information only for market research purposes and you are not identifiable in that process. In some jurisdictions (such as the United States of America), your postcode forms part of your Payment Information and may be required in order to process your payment.

We use the Device Information that we collect from you to help us screen for potential risk and fraud, and more generally to improve and optimise your experience on the Site.

We use the Marketing Information that we collect from you to email you a monthly newsletter containing general tour and travel information and special offers. You can unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time.

Sharing your Personal Information

We share your Order Information with tour or service providers in order for them to provide you with the tour or service you have booked or purchased. This sharing of information is facilitated in one of two ways:

• Via Rezdy — a third party booking platform that allows us to access live availability for tours and activities and to manage your booking in an efficient manner. • Directly with the tour or service provider. You should refer to the individual tour or service provider’s privacy policy for details about how they store your Order Information.

We don’t share your Order Information with any other party, and we don’t automatically add your Order Information to any marketing list.

We share your Marketing Information with Send In Blue — a third party online platform for managing email marketing activities and newsletters. You should refer to Send In Blue’s privacy policy for details about how your Marketing Information is stored. You can access Send In Blue’s privacy policy here.

We may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we hold, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Your rights regarding your Personal Information

You have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you and to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated or deleted. If you would like to exercise that right, please contact us.

If you are a European resident and you make a booking or purchase on the Site, it is deemed that you understand that we collect and process your Personal Information in order to fulfil a contract we have with you (your booking or purchase). Additionally, it is deemed that you understand that your Personal Information will be transferred to countries outside of the European Union, including to Australia and the United States of America.

Security of your Personal Information

Your Personal Information is stored by us in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Data retention

We will store your Personal Information unless and until you ask us to delete the information.
